Quantum has the Quality System in place to produce precision component parts to exacting customer requirements. Quantum continuously strives to improve performance through setting and achieving objectives and targets that never dip below our customers' expectations.

Quality Assurance

an enterprise wide Quality Management System of integrated work processes is installed and constantly being improved that aggressively controls production as well as every other aspect of the company, including the upper management of the company.

The Quantum Integrated Quality Management System is

  • Comprised of integrated work processes that continuously monitor and control production, production support services, and business systems, together;

  • Provides proactive compliance with all applicable health/safety/environmental laws and regulations, and codes of practice;

  • A company culture that promotes staff members' involvement with customer awareness;

  • Continuously communicating our Quality Policy and environmental protection requirements to our contractors and suppliers;

  • Continually exerts influence over contractors and suppliers to improve their quality performance.

Quality Control we maintain the tool & gauge infrastructure plus quality knowledge to inspect to most customer specification levels.
 

Quality Control is a major factor in our successful day to day operation because Quantum considers every person on the shop floor, programmer machinists to janitorial staff, to be a member of the Quality Control Department. Our quality assurance engineers work constantly with the self managed production teams auditing production and processes to make sure products meet customer expectations.

The Micro-Vu Vertex 420 vision inspection machine has touch probe capabilities. In many cases, inspection of complicated parts has seen a 12x increase in productivity over hand inspection when using vision inspection.  Measurement reliability is measured in parts per million.

 

Some of the ways Quantum implements Quality...

ISO  9001:2001- Quantum became  Registered in 2004.  Production quality improved to the point that overall waste was reduced 10% in first year alone.

Customer Communication- frequent customer contacts and information sharing takes place via Quantum's web site secure customer login area which, gives customers discreet access to important shared business information at the speed of the internet.

LEAN Manufacturing- maintaining ongoing formal employee training in LEAN through the San Antonio Manufacturers Assn. (SAMA). Work teams are encouraged to define LEAN projects and to proceed autonomously.
 

Machinists Training- machinists' skills are evaluated for progress several times a year using a company standard skill set as a measurement tool.
 

Quality Technology- automated  vision inspection machines have improved inspection efficiency as much as 12x on complicated and tiny parts.
 

Business Technology- quoting, shop floor control, shipping/receiving, payroll, and accounting process are tightly integrated into one common software system.
 

Information Technology- company information, electronic forms, event/meeting calendars, and electronic records are integrated via a company intranet.
